This is a beautiful Monkey cup planted by my cousin:

Prison vs Working Place

I received the following in the mail and thought of sharing it. Prison Working Place You spend the majority of your time in an 8'X10' cell You spend most of your time in a 6'X8' cubicle You get three meals a day (free) You only get a break for one meal and probably have to pay for it yourself You get time off for good behavior. You get rewarded for good behavior with more WORK. A guard locks and unlocks the doors for you You must carry around a security card and unlock open all the doors yourself You can watch TV and play games. You get fired for watching TV and playing games. They allow your family and friends to visit. You can not even speak to your family and friends. All expenses are paid by taxpayers with no work at all. You get to pay all the expenses to go to work and then they deduct taxes from your salary to pay for the prisoners.

Something my son told me

Why is 6 afraid of 7? Because 7 ate 9.

Asiasoft Gamefest 2009

Image
We went to 1 Utama on Jun 7, 2009 - the last day for Asiasoft Gamefest 2009. Could not imagine the crowd going to that place. The place was jammed packed with people. All the parking places were full except for the open air parking. Here are some pictures, taken of the event: Dancers: Look at the crowd lining up for freebies: Stage events: Staff in costumes: Look at the crowd: Registering for lucky draw: Given the mix of age groups, it looks like gaming is not for Children only.

Young performers

I was in Mydin in PJ last week and happen to come across performance by a group of very talented dancers. From the looks of it, they are probably around 8 to 9 years old: Here they are watching other performers: Here they are performing:

Is this an Iguana?

Over the weekend, the following lizard appeared on the roof of my car park. Do not know where it came from but it just laid there for hours. Good for me since it gave me an opportunity to take the following shots:

Survival of the Fittest

Ever notice how bugs and plant seem to survive no matter the conditions. Here is prove: Notice even with almost no soil, the plant is able to grow here: Even in the drain, it can grow:

Agony of a caged runner

Its been two months since I was training to be the fastest man on earth. As I mentioned in that blog, I retired after I was mugged. I found that I can't just quit. My body has adjusted and is absorbing and building up a lot of energy in itself. Every thing I eat or drink just increases the energy in my body. I feel like a balloon all bloated. It also cause me to feel very lethargic and sleepy. As I try to drink coffee to keep awake I feel worst. Just like trying to pump more air to a balloon that is already fully inflated. My head just feels like exploding. I managed to get a few short runs recently, which helps quite a bit. If only I can get more running sessions!! I need to burn all these excess calories stored in my body.

You are a new dad if...

Received this in an email: You’re A New Dad If… You’ve gotten used to doing everything one-handed. The thought of your mother-in-law coming over for a few hours is a pleasant one. You answer the question “How are you?” with “We’re fine.” Getting six hours of sleep is a privilege. You decide whether a shirt is wearable based on how well the spit-up stains match the shirt’s main color. You see a lovely teenage girl walking down your street, and you think, “I wonder if I could interest her in ... babysitting?”

To Marry or Not to Marry

I was forwarded this interesting way to decide whether to marry or not. Read it then decide: http://www.futilitycloset.com/2009/05/29/the-long-and-the-short-of-it/

Pantecost Sunday

Image
Yesterday was Pantecost Sunday. That is the day when the Holy Spirit was sent down to Earth and the disciples could start speaking in tongues. In the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, we celebrated it by catering lunch enough to feed 2000 people - including parishioners and neighbors. Here are some pictures sharing this happy occasion: Here you have the priest talking to the neighbors:
