Focus and Distractions

Image
What occupies our thought most is what our mind will focus on and get good at. Recently I realized that I have allowed myself to get distracted and am no longer focusing on my goals. I used to ask myself the following question, “Is what you are doing useful?” I have allowed too many distractions into my life - movies and comic/manga, computer games which do not benefit me in any way. Some distractions may be good to help us relax but I just realized that many of these activities seem to occupy more and more of my waking hours. None of them help me achieve my goals. These are the goals myself back in 1999 but somehow along the way I got sidetracked. Never break four things in our life - Trust, Relations, Promise & Heart because when they break, the don't make noise but pains a lot. - Charles Dickens Three sentences for getting success: Know more than other. Work more than other. Expect less than other - William Shakespeare. If you win, you need not have to explain... If you lose, you should not be there to explain! - Adolf Hitler. If we cannot love the person whom we see, how can we love God, whom we cannot see ... - Mother Teresa I will not say I failed 1000 times, I will say that I discovered 1000 ways that can cause failure...

Play with words

I was thinking the other day the following sentences: A bear carrying baby. A bear-carrying baby. In the first statement, the bear is carrying the baby and in the second statement the baby is carrying the bear. However, when you say both sentences, the sound almost the same. So the question is how do you differentiate the two. Any suggestions? Or is my thinking flawed?
